I’m in the middle of my stay and I haven’t stopped one second. I started my visit by a boat tour to familiarize myself with the surroundings.

I spotted the cycle track running round the lake and the different summits surrounding it. On the left bank the Semnoz, on the right bank the Mont Veyrier and the Mont Baron in the beautiful autumnal shades; beyond the Tournette. And in the far distance the Aravis mountain range.

In the same afternoon, I went cycling up the Semnoz mountain up to 1700 meters. I’ve heard there is a bus that takes walkers and cyclists to the top, but I fancied the challenge.

The following day my first try at paragliding at the Col de la Forclaz; fantastic and the weather was great, a real Indian summer! I also had the opportunity of directing myself, a fabulous sensation! The instructor showed me the via ferrata in Thônes, capital of the famous reblochon cheese; I decided there and then that I would go and explore it in the afternoon.

I won’t have time to try out everything so I’ll come back, that’s for sure!
