This year Samuel and I really wanted to have a dream holiday after a very hectic year.

The first evening we left our luggage at the ‘Croix Fry’. We spent some wonderful evenings on the cosy sofa in front of the fireplace

The landscape? A wonderful view over the Aravis mountain chain, covered in snow. We also chose to go up to the Plateau des Glières.

Going down towards Annecy we stopped off at the Imperial Palace, Annecy’s casino and sipped champagne as we watched the mountain summits turn to pink; what a divine moment of pleasure.

We loved the lake so much that we decided to stay several days. We stopped over in Menthon Palace and made the most of the solarium and billiard table.

We were told about the 18 hole golf course in Talloires and of a gastronomic restaurant in Veyrier-du-Lac,another good reason to return next summer!
