What sheer pleasure… Everything is as I had remembered it: the pink reflects on the summits at night fall, fresh evenings with bright starry skies.
This morning I followed the path that took me to Seythenex; how good it felt just to wander in the fresh air and to stop and admire the gushing waterfalls dropping from 45 meters high. I felt tiny in the maze of these caves from which I could hear the echo of my footsteps.
To warm myself up after this underground walk, I rented a boat in Doussard. I took the boat further out away from the edge and stayed hours daydreaming whilst watching the paragliders spin above the lake around the summits of the Sambuy, Tournette and the Semnoz.
Tomorrow, I will go to visit Faverges, I remember it from my school years, a long time ago! Eight steps to get to know the history of the town, strategically situated between the county of Savoie and that of Geneva.
n the evening I can go to the nature reserve at the end of the lake to have a look at the beavers.
