Shopping in Annecy is pure pleasure - many of the shops can be found in the cobbled, pedestrianised streets of the old town and cafes are well-placed between the boutiques so you can stop for a welcome break after some serious ‘trying-on’ sessions with your friends...
Follow this shopping expedition guide from a well-informed Annecy shopper.

Ready?  We start in the street Sainte Claire, where, under the arches we are drawn like magnets to numerous boutiques – clothing, hats, jewellery, bags...
Next, we take the street Filaterie where you might be tempted by a pair of shoes.  We then reach the start of the street Carnot which is THE most important street in a day’s shopping in Annecy.
You can’t afford to miss the shops in the rue Carnot – clothes, accessories, shoes, jewellery and homeware, shops selling all of these and more can be found here.
Extend your hunting ground into the roads which cross and branch off the street Carnot – street Sommeiller and street Vaugelas.
The end of our expedition is the Courier shopping centre which offers a wide range of shops including stores selling clothing, homeware, beauty products, books and music.

And if your thirst for shopping continues, the Galeries Lafayette shopping centre is just 5 minutes walk away!

So, if you are shopping on Saturday, what about Sunday?  Complete your city adventure with our suggestions for cultural excursions – a show at the Bonlieu National Theatre, a concert at the Brise Glace, a film or an exhibition at the Seynod Auditorium or at the Turbine...
