 Sailing, kayak, water skiing, wakeboard, Annecy’s lake is a fabulous area for nautical sports.
ULM, delta plan, paragliding, parachuting above the lake or the Aravis mountains; a fantastic way to discover the region. Roller blading: the cycle track on the left bank offers splendid panoramas over the lake and the mountains. You can always stop off at one of the many beaches! Cycling and mountain bike: on the the cycle track or if you prefer a more energetic ride in the mountains. La Clusaz’venture in July in La Clusaz: an outdoor festival of different and original events, open to all, adults and children. Every Friday evening in the summer: roller blading in the streets of Annecy, meeting point at 8pm in front of the Town Hall.
| | Defi Foly in La Clusaz in April : the craziest of sliding events in the Aravis, on the Confins Lake. Urban sliding events: in June, in Thônes, new forms of sliding are presented over three days. Mountain bike trophy in Annecy in June. French skateboard championships in June/July in Annecy. Paragliding in July in La Clusaz, with the best paragliders in the whole of France. Roller skate competition in Annecy in August. Cycling Grand Prix in Annecy in September.

Paragliding: put on your skis and let yourself be blown away by the wind; discover snow covered landscapes… Skiing, surfing, telemark, windsurfing, kitesurfing: the Massif of the Aravis has everything. Sleigh rides with huskies on one of the many plateaux. Ice skating rinks: in Annecy or in La Clusaz, the municipal ice rinks are open from december and at ‘Christmas in the Alpes’, young children can practice on the mini ice-rink at the Imperial Palace Hotel.
| | Ride up the Semnoz by bike in September and on skis or roller blades in October. In November, the shop owners in La Clusaz organize a bargain sale of skis, clothes and shoes. French championship of paret, Friday evenings from January to March in Manigod, races and demonstrations of this sliding machine, an emblem of the village. World cup of snowkite on the Semnoz in March. Candide Invitational: in March, the best skiers and snowboarders come to practice the freestyle backcountry with Candide Thovex in La Clusaz.
